Product Details

PSK Ayur Thanjavur Ponni Raw Rice 5kg is a traditional South Indian rice variety suited to households that prefer the softer, lighter character of raw Ponni rice. Closely associated with Tamil-style home cooking, it is a versatile option for regular lunches and dinners.

Soft and Versatile Ponni Rice

Unlike parboiled Ponni, raw Ponni rice has not undergone the same pre-boiling process before milling. This gives it a different cooked character, with a softer texture that works particularly well with gravies, dals and simple everyday dishes.

Use it for:

• Steamed rice
• Sambar rice
• Rasam rice
• Curd rice
• Lemon rice
• Tamarind rice
• Vegetable curries
• Everyday family meals

Made for Regular South Indian Cooking

Its mild flavour allows sambar, rasam, kuzhambu and other accompaniments to remain the focus of the meal, making Ponni Raw Rice a dependable pantry staple.
